Tax Hike Pamphlet Mail Out

Kootenay Tribe Raise Awareness and Funding to Post Out Pamphlets

For this wonderful awareness initiative, headed by Corinne Mori and the Kootenay Tribe in the West Kootenay's, Pamphlets were delivered by mail in mid November 2023 appearing in several communities. Corinne gives many thanks to the Kootenay Tribe community members who contributed $7000 towards 23,000 pamphlets and postage!

Here is a rendition of the pamphlet delivered below:

Corinne says there have been some concerning developments the same mid November 2023 week that the pamphlets went out, between the RDCK & the BC, NDP Government as shown in this YouTube video.

Corinne also says it's also worth noting that the Kootenay Conservation Society has approached the RDCK to buy land at Rosebud Lake for Conservation purposes (grizzly corridor and turtle habitat).  The price tag is $1,250,000 which will be shared among Areas E, F, J, Nelson and Salmo.  Anything that is considered a park does not require public assent so the RDCK does not have to let the public know that this proposal is in play.  Anyone who is in these Areas, if you have thoughts about this proposal, please contact your Area Director.
